Customer Support Engineering Manager
Salary: £65K + bonus + company vehicle + other benefits (Salary is dependant on experience, skill level etc).

About the Role:
Are you experienced in leading a team of Service Engineers and managing a Technical Support Help Desk? Are you interested in joining a Midlands based engineering company that is recognised for excellence in the industry? This role is ideal for an Engineering Manager with a strong background in engineering and customer support, who is looking to contribute to a reputable and dynamic company. There will be occasional travel to customer sites with an occasional overnight stay.
The company supplies high-speed machine tools to a wide variety of precision engineering companies within the Aerospace, Automotive, Power, Oil and Gas, and Motorsport sectors. They provide excellent training to their customers and internal staff.
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting machine tool sales and warranties.
2. Managing the technical helpdesk.
3. Supporting service engineers with onsite customer issues.
4. Assisting regional team leaders.
5. Providing diagnosis and root cause analysis for service issues.
6. Motivating and mentoring the service team.
7. Demonstrating good commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in managing a team of service engineers and technical support staff.
2. Strong commercial acumen with effective customer service and negotiation skills.
3. Engineering Management experience is essential, with a preference for candidates with machine tool knowledge.
4. Engineering degree is preferred but not essential.
5. UK driving license required.
6. Health and Safety knowledge is paramount; IOSHH or equivalent certification would be an advantage.
7. Candidates need to be IT literate.
