We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Care Manager to join our Specialist Residential team. This role is ideal for someone looking to enhance their leadership career, with a demonstrated background in working with individuals who have intensive complex and high-risk behavioural needs.
In this position, you will utilize positive interventions at Ynystawe Lodge, a bespoke care environment, to empower and support people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and challenging needs to live valued lives and work towards individual meaningful outcomes.

As Assistant Manager, you will be fully supported by a close-knit team who share the same passion and values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. You will report to the Registered Manager and receive support from Senior Support Workers.
2. You will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality service and developing the staff team.
3. You will work closely with our in-house specialist support services team, which includes qualified Learning Disability Nurses, PBS Practitioners, Active Support Facilitators, and PBM trainers.
4. You will become part of our incredible team, helping to deliver emotional and practical care and support for vulnerable adults, transforming their lives daily.
5. You will support the Registered Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and business objectives.
6. You will ensure all records are maintained, monitored, and evaluated for effectiveness.
7. You will act as an ambassador for the service by establishing and maintaining good relationships with all care teams, prospective supported people, and colleagues.
8. You will liaise with the Registered Manager across operational activities and assume responsibility for managing the service during their absence.
9. You will provide quality care for vulnerable adults within a residential setting, ensuring the highest quality of care through person-centred care plans.
10. You will monitor standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff.
11. You will contribute fully to team collaborative working, responding positively to colleagues and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
12. You will assist with staff management, motivation, training, development, supervision, appraisals, and mentoring in line with their role descriptions.
13. You will facilitate person-centred activities promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
Requirements:
1. You must hold at least QCF level 3 in health and social care or equivalent, with a goal of achieving level 4/5.
2. You should have experience in the care sector, the regulatory framework, service delivery, and an excellent working knowledge of essential standards and statutory inspections in social care.
3. You should be a passionate individual with experience working with individuals who have a learning disability, Autism, and challenging behaviour.
4. You must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft packages, possess strong relationship-building skills, and customer service skills.
5. You should have the desire and passion to support individuals in achieving their aspirations and personal goals.
6. You must demonstrate a commitment to enabling people to live fulfilled and independent lives within their homes and the wider community.
7. You must provide Support Workers with direction, leadership, guidance, and support to ensure individuals receive person-centred care in line with their individual needs.
8. You must demonstrate a high level of personal integrity in providing an exceptional standard of service.

Our Specialist Residential Support Services have been established to meet the needs of those presenting with complex challenges, including individuals with needs relating to Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health. These unique services offer individuals their own robust individual living space, while also providing opportunities to develop tolerance and coping skills at their own pace through carefully planned use of communal living areas. The accommodation and support are bespoke and adaptable to the complex and changing needs of the individuals requiring support.
