Shift Engineer
Location: Leamington Spa
Salary: £44,500 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (days and nights)

About the Role
As a Shift Engineer, you will be an integral part of our maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of our high-volume production lines. You will focus on diagnosing and resolving faults, maintaining equipment, and minimising downtime. This is a hands-on role that demands technical expertise and problem-solving skills in an industrial/FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct electrical fault finding and repairs on industrial equipment, including motors and drives.
* Work with star-delta configurations and perform diagnostics and maintenance on PLC - controlled systems.
* Utilise your ability to read and interpret electrical drawings for troubleshooting and installations.
* Perform HMI fault finding and corrections to ensure minimal disruption to production.
* Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure long-term equipment reliability.
* Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve operational challenges quickly and efficiently.
* Adhere to safety and quality standards while working within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications: Must possess a relevant electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
* Experience: Proven experience in industrial/FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environments, ideally within the plastics industry.
* Strong background in electrical fault finding and problem-solving.
* Hands-on experience with PLC systems (programming knowledge is a bonus but not essential).
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical and electrical drawings.
* Solid understanding of star-delta motor configurations.
* Familiarity with HMI troubleshooting and repair.
* Previous UK-based experience is essential.
