We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Engineering Administration Assistant with previous office admin experience, excellent Microsoft Office, organisational, communication and time-management skills, and great attention to detail.
Working as the Administrator / Engineering Administration Assistant you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective administration service and support to the Engineering team on a day-to-day basis through a professional and customer orientated service to both internal and external customers.
As the Administrator / Engineering Administration Assistant you will carry out general administrative tasks, including database input and management, contractor coordination and basic finance duties.
DUTIES
1. Engineering Administration: Co-ordinate engineering administration to ensure customer service is maintained and continuously improved. Perform general administrative tasks like shift reports, budget trackers, and filing.
2. Systems Support: Manage and improve the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system and ensure accurate data management.
3. Contractor Management and Compliance: Liaise with contractors daily to ensure adherence to standards, enabling efficient workflow and supporting permit-to-work processes.
4. Financial Administration: Handle engineering purchase orders and track engineering spend against budget.
5. Audit and Project Support: Maintain engineering service records for audits and provide administrative support for projects, including compliance.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience of administration / office admin with strong data manipulation and interpretation abilities.
2. Proven experience of working effectively in a busy office environment, both independently and as part of a team.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
4. IT Skills - good Excel skills as well as being proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
5. Good understanding of own responsibilities to work safely, identifying any risks and reporting them appropriately.
6. Experience of working with databases is desirable.
7. GCSE ‘C’ or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
8. Candidates MUST be able to drive and have their own transport as the site is inaccessible by public transport.
