Note: This role is a part-time (3 days a week) role, on a 6 months Fixed Term Contract.
As a Business Change Manager, you'll be taking the lead on our AI Operations Strategy and Implementation. You'll work with the Principal AI Engineer and Head of Digital Innovation and be part of the Digital and Data Strategy team. You will help design and implement frameworks, policy, and technical guidance for NPL’s AI operations and embed these into our science and operational teams.
You will be responsible for rolling out our AI Operations Strategy programme and helping define the technical, legislative, and regulatory requirements for NPL to make the best use of AI and to ensure we have established corporate principles for creating, managing, and exploiting the use of AI.
You will coordinate and collaborate on our AI strategy across NPL’s science, quality, IT, and cyber teams, including analysis of existing ways of working and managing data to ensure these areas are aligned with the main data strategy framework and, where applicable, collaborate with those teams to create joint policies and initiatives.

Responsibilities
1. Supporting the roll-out of NPL's AI strategy, frameworks, and policies.
2. Ensuring NPL complies with current data and AI-related standards, legal regulations, and policies.
3. Investigating and promoting industry best practices on AI governance and use.
4. Integrating NPL best practices and AI standards across science and operational areas.
Essential Skills
1. Experience of business/change management.
2. Knowledge of industry best-practice AI governance and management approaches.
3. Ability to understand the applicability of technical solutions for AI governance and create requirements for solutions to AI governance and management.
4. Expertise in rolling out governance policies and frameworks.
5. Ability to analyse and demonstrate compliance with external AI standards and UK Government data and AI policies and frameworks.
6. Knowledge of best practice change management principles and methodologies.
7. Good communicator and collaborator with proven stakeholder management experience across a variety of levels.
8. Comfortable working either within a team or independently.
