Overview: This is a great opportunity for a Training Coordinator to join a rapidly expanding business who are in the process of introducing new processes and machinery. This is a newly created position to support business growth, and will be focused upon the development of training programmes and an E-Learning system. Reporting to the quality manager, this role will see you working in a strong team with a great company culture. This position will also include an early finish on a Friday afternoon allowing a head-start on the weekend.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Maintain departmental training matrixes for the South Wales site.
* Create relevant in-house training programmes and resources for staff.
* Select the most appropriate training methods and activities.
* Perform needs assessment to identify knowledge gaps and areas in need of improvement.
* Provide vital information about training sessions and inform personnel about available training.
* Liaise with departmental managers to create annual training & development plans.
* Liaise with external providers to coordinate training for apprentices and employees.
* Research and recommend new training techniques to the Quality Manager, creating and updating training methods to stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development.
* Assist with the onboarding of new & temporary employees.
* Order training supplies and materials to enhance the instruction programme.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Familiarity with various training methods and techniques.
* Working knowledge of content development tools and learning management systems.
* Working knowledge of project management methodologies.
* Ability to operate media equipment, such as personal computers, projectors etc.
* Ability to assign aptitude or competency tests to assess the learners.
* Excellent leadership skills and presentation skills.
* Formal HR qualification and/or a relevant certification.
* Ideally hold a degree in Training, Education, Human Resources or a related field.
