Neway International is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Recruitment Officer to join the team at Carmarthenshire County Council. This role provides an excellent opportunity to support the recruitment process and work closely with Recruiting Managers, ensuring all stages from job advertisement to appointment are handled efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the recruitment process from job advertisement to appointment as required.
Act as the primary point of contact for Recruiting Managers throughout the recruitment process.
Utilize technology and online systems to support recruitment activity, including the applicant tracking system.
Adhere to safe recruitment principles by ensuring thorough application checks and necessary pre-employment checks (DBS, references, employment history).
Retrieve data to support accurate and timely responses to enquiries and correspondence, while escalating more complex issues to Recruitment Advisors and the People Management team.
Assist with the review of processes and development of standard operating procedures/guidance for managers.
Provide training and briefing sessions to Recruiting Managers as needed.
Undertake job evaluations to establish salary/grading and provide advice on equality and recruitment standards, while maintaining all records related to job evaluation.
Support all Employee Services work as appropriate, in addition to recruitment responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficient in using technology and online systems for recruitment.
Knowledge of safe recruitment principles and pre-employment checks.
Experience in providing training and guidance to managers.
Familiarity with job evaluation processes and equality standards.
