Our IDVA's are crucial to the delivery of high-quality service to the victims of domestic abuse. You'll need to be a great team player and used to responding quickly to risk and the needs of service users. We are looking to recruit an additional IDVA to join our team. The successful candidates will have a specific role in reaching out to underrepresented groups within the community. You'll have a sound knowledge of current legislation both criminal and civil relating to domestic abuse including data protection and confidentiality. We're looking for people with a good understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on adults and children, including how to use legislation and best practices to safeguard them. Experience in adopting a trauma-informed approach is essential to your client work. Formal qualifications such as IDVA are preferable. You'll have the opportunity to continue learning to develop your skills as an IDVA. There is an expectation to engage in continued learning to develop your skills. You must have the ability to travel across parts of Kent and will be expected to attend meetings, meet clients, attend MARAC, One Stop Shops and work from other locations.
