Looking for a varied and challenging Health & Safety Manager role?
We're recruiting for a proactive Health & Safety Manager to join a small, successful Ely based business.
You'll be managing the Health & Safety department, with duties including:
1. Interpreting and adapting current legislation & ensuring compliance, including Office Risk Assessments; Accident Reporting and H&S Policies.
2. Ensuring employees are up to date with mandatory training; Annual, CSCS, NVQ.
3. Managing grant Applications.
4. Keeping training matrix up to date.
5. Arranging DBS & other safeguarding checks for on-site staff.
6. Completing risk assessment method statements (RAMS) and COSHH assessments.
7. Ensuring the business' accreditations including ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 are kept up to date.
8. Management of PPE budget.
9. Providing specific support & advice to the team.
10. Regular meetings with H&S Director.
11. Continual development of H&S within the business to ensure best practice.
12. Attending sites to include setting up site inspections, toolbox talks & carrying out audits.
13. Sub-Contractor vetting, accident investigation and PPE.
14. Prepare and distribute Safety Memos.
15. Driving forward new initiatives & identifying areas for improvement.
You must have the NEBOSH qualification and experience of working in a similar level of role, ideally within the construction industry.
You'll be self-motivated, assertive and have excellent organisational and communication skills.
