Welding Inspector – NW UK
£32 per hour outside IR35 (negotiable dependent on current pay rate) + average 40-50hr billing week + paid travel time + mileage + long-term work (12month+ rolling contract)
Welding Inspector responsibilities include:
1. Field-based role, providing inspection and quality control services relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction across various fabrication sites in Liverpool & the Northwest.
2. Provide detailed reports following inspections & quality control.
3. Equipment includes pressure / piping equipment and other mechanical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
4. Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs.
5. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
Welding Inspector profile:
1. An experienced Welding Engineer / Inspector, ideally with at least 3yrs in equipment inspections (including NDT & material control).
2. C&G Cert / or equivalent experience in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTEC in Engineering discipline.
3. CSWIP 3.1/3.2PCN.
4. Either PCN Dye Penetrant Inspections Level II OR PCN Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) Level II OR both.
5. Sound understanding of Materials, Welding and NDE techniques.
6. Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries.
7. Clean UK driving Licence + use of own car.
