Clinical Lead Therapist Waiting List Support Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the well-established Waiting List Support Service in Hywel Dda University Health Board. The post holder will provide clinical therapy leadership and input in the multi-disciplinary single point of contact team for patients awaiting planned care treatment in line with the Welsh Government Promote, Prevent, Prepare policy. The role will work closely with the Optimisation and Prehabilitation service to provide holistic person-centred care based on individual patient needs.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will provide clinical therapy leadership in the Waiting List Support Service. This will include working collaboratively with other therapies and planned care specialties to lead a multi-professional approach. They will play a key clinical leadership role in the further development of services by scoping, planning, and evaluating the service. This will include leading in quality improvement, audit, and service evaluation.
The post holder will:
1. Scope, develop, implement and maintain clinical standards in defined area.
2. Plan & deliver skills-based training within this specialty area, utilising a competency-based framework for other staff in line with national frameworks.
3. Undertake critical analysis, appraisal and synthesis of current research outcomes and/or relevant literature in order to maintain expert levels of knowledge and practice within specialty area.

The post holder will undertake a team leader role by planning, coordinating delivery, and evaluating the service in collaboration with the service leader.

Person Specification
Qualification and Knowledge
* Degree or recognised equivalent in Therapy profession
* Current professional registration with HCPC
* Significant post-graduate specialist education within relevant clinical area at level equivalent to Masters or equivalent experience
* MSc within relevant specialty.
* Post-graduate qualification up to post grad diploma level in relevant area
* Clinical/Practice Education Training Course
* Member of professional body/Specialist Interest Group
* Evidence of leadership courses/qualifications
Experience
* Significant post-graduate experience; including relevant experience in specialist field.
* Experience of Quality Improvement and delivery of improvement projects
* Managing a complex caseload using an advanced clinical reasoning process
* Significant experience working as an autonomous practitioner
* Significant experience in multi-agency team working within specialist area
* Therapeutic handling and risk assessments

£46,840 to £53,602 a year per annum (pro rata if part-time)
