Basic Salary - £40,000 - £45,000pa DOE
Working Hours - Monday-Friday 08:00-18:00
Location - West Drayton
A rare Workshop Controller vacancy has arisen within an extremely fast-paced, busy HGV vehicle dealership in the Heathrow area. This opportunity would suit a Workshop Controller who can work well under pressure, to tight deadlines, and enjoys taking on challenges.
It's a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the company's workshop.
Responsibilities of a Workshop Controller
1. Plan and delegate Technicians' workload.
2. Assign technicians to tasks ensuring productivity is maximised and that deadlines are adhered to.
3. Performance management, coaching, and development of the team.
4. Quality checking, ordering of parts, audits, and compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications of a Workshop Controller
1. Must be able to run a productive workshop.
2. HGV dealership experience.
3. Experience of managing a team of Vehicle Technicians or Mechanics.
4. Must be able to identify problems within the workshop and understand how to fix them.
5. Must have a can-do attitude with the ability to prioritise and organise work to ensure the workshop runs smoothly.
