About this role Ozone is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and results-oriented individual to join Ozone’s Publisher Services team. The Account Manager will serve as the primary business owner for each account, responsible for driving both strategic and financial outcomes. You will act as the central coordinator for all internal teams, ensuring publisher needs are met through collaboration across Commercial, Operational, Technical and Product functions. The role will focus on managing and expanding existing publisher relationships, maximising the value of partnerships, and ensuring long-term growth and retention. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital publishing or ad tech, combined with a deep understanding of fostering and driving relationships, excellent communication skills, and commercial and business acumen. Responsibilities Business Ownership & Strategic Growth: Business Owner for Each Account: You will take full ownership of your publisher accounts, responsible for both strategic and financial outcomes. Financial Performance: Own the financial performance of each account, tracking revenue and performance against internal budget targets, and providing strategic recommendations for growth. Account Strategy: Lead the development of comprehensive account strategies, incorporating cross-functional input from internal teams to drive growth and deliver maximum value to the publishers. Account Management & Retention: Relationship Management: Act as a trusted partner to publishers, ensuring you meet their needs and drive their success while aligning with Ozone’s business objectives. Client Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, measured through NPS, and retention by consistently exceeding publisher expectations. Proactive Problem Solving: Identify blockers and opportunities within accounts, ensuring any challenges are quickly resolved through cross-team collaboration. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership: Internal Coordination: Lead the coordination of efforts across internal teams (Business Development, Product, Marketing, and Technical) to deliver seamless solutions that meet publisher objectives. Central Point of Communication: You will own the communication and action plans internally, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with the publisher's strategic needs. Account Plans: Create and maintain account plans with the wider account management team to align publisher strategies with Ozone’s overarching mission. Performance & Analysis: Trend Analysis: Regularly review quarterly and annual trends to identify opportunities for growth and to better understand shifts in performance. Business Reviews: Lead QBRs with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, track progress, and set future objectives. Reporting: Provide regular updates to the leadership team on partnership status, financial performance, and strategic opportunities within your accounts. Revenue Generation & Growth: Upselling & Cross-Selling: Proactively seek opportunities to grow revenue by cross-selling and upselling additional Ozone products and services to your publisher accounts. Growth Opportunities: Continuously explore and recommend new products or services that align with each publisher strategic goals, and which drive their revenue growth. Industry Knowledge & Best Practices: Market Insight: Stay updated on market trends, industry regulations, and the competitive landscape to advise publishers on best practices. Sharing Knowledge: Contribute to the wider account management team by sharing insights, lessons learned, and best practices to improve efficiency and growth. Required experience/ skills Professional experience in publisher account management or another client-facing role. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting processes and financial principles related to account management, including tracking financial performance against targets. Strategic Thinking: Ability to craft and execute comprehensive account strategies that drive both revenue growth and client satisfaction. Communication & Presentation Skills: Able to establish rapport with key stakeholders, including at the executive level, and tailor messaging to meet both publisher needs and Ozone’s strategic goals. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining sharp attention to detail. Industry Network: Ability to build and leverage a network within the industry for partnership opportunities and to stay updated on trends.
