Cross in Hand is a happy and successful Church of England Primary School in Heathfield, East Sussex. We have genuinely lovely children, supportive parents and a great team of staff.
We have a vacancy for a qualified Thrive Practitioner within our setting. The working hours for this role are ideally 2 afternoons per week (13:00 – 15.15), with the potential for a 3rd afternoon. Candidates are invited to write a covering letter with their availability/preferences.
The main role is to assess, plan for and carry out Thrive sessions to assist children with complex social and emotional needs. The sessions will usually take place on a 1:1 basis. The sessions will require regular monitoring and assessment through data analysis and liaising with parents and staff.
The role will also involve providing staff and parents with emotional and practical advice when supporting children with challenging behaviours and complex needs. Previous training or experience of Thrive ftc, and an understanding of child development including Attachment and Adverse Childhood Experiences are essential for this role. Some support for children will be learning based. This will require planning, resourcing and monitoring, target setting and reviewing; including meetings with class teachers and parents.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 14th November with interviews being held the following week. Please note: Salary quoted is for a full-time member of staff. The post we are advertising is 44.85 weeks per year and 5 hours per week.
