Field Sales Engineer
Location:
(Covering from Birmingham - South)
Salary:
£40 - £45k (based on experience and expertise) OTE 55k + company car

The Role:
1. Carry out on site sales visits to existing and prospective customers and develop relationships.
2. Work with direct customers to maximise sales of products and services within the region of focus.
3. Identify and develop new sales channel opportunities.
4. Manage sales channel conflicts.
5. Work with existing accounts and develop new accounts and relationships to grow sales.
6. Take leadership role in major customer agreements and sales opportunities.
7. Provide regular sales forecasts for the region of focus.
8. Track and report project sales opportunities and interface with others on project pursuits.
9. Visit and service customers and assist in bidding large projects.
10. Recommend, recruit, and manage day-to-day opportunities of internal sales channels.
11. Document day-to-day customer communications in company-wide CRM.
12. Provide sales feedback to marketing on competitive information, required product(s), features, and new market opportunities.
13. Work with the marketing team to regionally promote new and existing products to maximise sales.
Requirements:
1. The candidate should have an engineering background with exposure to electrical engineering.
2. A good understanding of Process Instrumentation, Calibration of instrumentation, to understand how these systems function as part of a production facility.
3. Full driving licence as the role is fully field-based.
4. Understand and experience of selling into process industries, selling Control Instrumentation and Automation products, an appreciation of measurement techniques & communication protocols.
5. Experience with automation products.
6. Having experience in selling calibration and inspection services such as DSEAR would be of benefit.
7. NVQ Level 3 (electrical installations) or alternative evidence of skill set qualifications.
