Our Operational Technology team has a fantastic opportunity for an Operational Technology Project Manager to join them in Walkden. Our Role As an Operational Technology Project Manager, you will lead and manage the successful delivery of technology system changes and/or upgrades, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This could include Telecoms hardware and network management system changes and upgrades. To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do: Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines; Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the efficient execution of the project; Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations; Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies; Monitor project risks and issues and implement corrective actions as necessary. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project team members; Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure they are completed satisfactorily. Quality Assurance: Ensure the project meets the quality standards required; Ensure all relevant standards and policies are complied with. Budget Management: Manage project budget, ensuring costs are controlled and financial targets are met; Prepare and present budget reports to programme manager. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation; Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders. The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship. What we re looking for Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing technology projects, ideally network management system projects; Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Technical Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of working with network management systems and related technologies; Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; Ability to matrix manage and lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure; Ability to anticipate issues and proactively develop solutions. Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks; Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
