Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Procurement Manager to lead and optimise supply chain functions across their organisation.
Role Overview
Based in Liskeard, Cornwall, the Sales and Procurement Manager will play a critical role within the engineering team. This individual will be responsible for leading the stores and procurement teams across all sites, ensuring regulatory compliance, and streamlining supply chain operations. This role reports directly to the Head of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Directly manage, motivate, and develop all stores personnel across sites, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Oversee procurement operations and part sales activities across the business.
* Support aircraft teardowns, storage, preservation, and part sales within a regulated Part 145 environment.
* Develop and maintain compliant procedures for all stores operations in line with Part 145 regulations.
* Act as a central point of contact for Stores, Logistics, and Procurement enquiries, with delegated support as necessary.
* Organise relevant training for stores personnel, including regulatory documentation and internal systems (e.g. Aerotrac).
* Liaise with suppliers, customers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth and timely operations.
* Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure efficient procurement of regularly used aircraft spares.
* Ensure effective progress chasing for all incoming goods and parts.
* Oversee tooling calibration and documentation across all bases, including overseas locations.
* Manage the acceptance, calibration, and documentation of new tools and equipment.
* Coordinate with approved third-party maintenance providers.
* Support facilities management activities and maintain accurate records for all buildings.
* Optimise logistics processes including customs, transport, import/export, and dispatch procedures.
* Visit customer and third-party sites as needed to foster strong business relationships.
* Conduct management reviews and follow-up on audit observations to drive continuous improvement.
* Willingness to travel between UK sites as operational needs dictate.
Requirements
* Proven experience in supply chain management, ideally within the aviation industry.
* Strong demand planning and analytical skills.
* Skilled in procurement, vendor management, and negotiation.
* Knowledge of Part 145 regulatory standards and aviation documentation (Form 1/8130/TC).
* Capable of leading teams across multiple sites and disciplines.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
