Join to apply for the Volunteer Finance Trustee | Lets Play Project role at Let's Play Project.
The Finance Trustee role is to support the Chair and other trustees by providing oversight of the organisation’s affairs, ensuring its financial viability and maintaining proper financial records and procedures.
What difference will you make?
Having you on Board will allow us to provide and sustain opportunities to grow as an organisation - to expand our services to more families and age groups, ensuring more young people are included and have fun, feel safe, and can form friendships.
What are we looking for?
If you have experience in running a business or non-profit organisation, knowledge and skills in Accounting and Finance, as well as the time and commitment to be part of our incredible team, you will add plenty of value. We play to each other's strengths and everyone has transferable skills that are incredibly useful in this setting.
What will you be doing?
The Let’s Play Project is a highly regarded charity in Banbury, Oxfordshire, providing play and leisure opportunities to disabled young people aged 5 to 25. Let's Play Project began in 2001 to give children with special needs access to mainstream play and leisure opportunities with support. It has since grown into a charity commissioned by Oxfordshire County Council and regulated by Ofsted and the Charities Commission, supporting over 100 families in North Oxfordshire.
Let's Play is run by a talented core staff of 5, supported by a diverse team of play workers and a board of Trustees. Young people are at the heart of everything we do, providing after-school and holiday clubs, youth groups, and young adults daytime groups, all offering vital play, learning, and friendship opportunities for those who cannot access mainstream activities.
Let’s Play employs a finance assistant, reporting to the Charity Manager, responsible for finance tasks. Trustees meet 4 times a year as a Board and undertake a broad range of projects in the interim. You will chair a Finance subcommittee that meets regularly to focus on the charity's finances.
