About the role:
We are looking for a General Manager who will work closely with the Co-Founders and Senior Management Team to ensure smooth running of all central functions of the agency.
The General Manager will oversee Finance, HR, Resourcing, Facilities, IT and Office support. The responsibilities will include formulating business strategy that contributes to the agency growth, managing people and operations to optimise the employee experience and maximising efficiencies across everything we do in the business.
We anticipate the role being hands on and reactive to change, the General Manager needs to be multifaceted in their skill set and approach. No problem is too big or too small.
Key responsibilities:
Finance:
* Oversee the finance team and manage their business comms
* Commercial support, strategic analysis and decision support to the Co-founders, CFO and the rest of the Senior Management Team
HR:
* Oversee external HR consultants and Talent Manager within the agency
* Act as senior HR voice for any issues that need raising with leaders
Resourcing:
* Line manager to Creative Services Manager who is responsible for agency resourcing.
* Governance and direction for all resourcing and linking with finance
* Resource support for holiday cover
* Senior contact with Paprika (finance and resource tool)
Facilities and IT:
* Line manager to the Facilities and IT Manager
* Governance and optimisation
Process and Logistics:
* Key responsibilities for working with all department leads to ensure smooth running across the agency and support where there may be operational challenges
* Suggestions on optimisation and ways of working to enhance overall agency operations
About you:
* You will embody our 50 Sport behaviours; teamwork, supportiveness and ambitious
* Solid experience in an Operations or Central Functions role, ideally in an agency environment
* Strong background in understanding agency finance and resource
* Proven experience in change optimisation and successful roll out
* Strong leader with proven line management skills
* Is a team player and confident working with senior management
* Has a proactive, positive, can-do approach, willing to get stuck in with any task and able to direct and motivate the team around them
* Communicate effectively in verbal or written form, professionally and in a transparent manner
* You are flexible, demonstrate strong time management skills, an ability to work under pressure, meeting the deadlines and accommodating last minute requests
* Self-sufficient, highly organised and able to work independently in fast paced social media environment
* Excellent communications skills
* An interest in sports and social media (and in emerging technologies)
