Grounds & Services Officer
The Town Council has high aspirations for the delivery of its services and working with its community and partners to deliver an exciting future for its residents, visitors, and businesses.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Grounds & Services Officer to join our dedicated team.
Some main duties of the role include:
* Be responsible for the administrative and record keeping for the customer focus services: burials, allotments, hanging baskets and sponsorship, market and street lighting, etc.
* Be responsible for the development, scheduling, promotion, and organisation of all aspects of the town council’s events.
* Develop community relationships with volunteers, stakeholders, and other community event organisers.
* Provide positive communication by updating and producing content for the Town Council's website and social media platforms.
* Assist the Town Clerk in the delivery of small environmental projects.
The successful candidate will have the following:
* 5 GCSEs Grade C or above (to include Maths and English).
* Experience of working in an administrative environment.
* Experience in working in an environment that requires sensitivity.
* Effective communicator with the ability to remain calm in highly sensitive situations in a diplomatic and compassionate way.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Computer literate including all Windows packages.
* Experience with social media.
* Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
* Flexibility and ability to work to deadlines.

Hours: 37 hours per week, may include some weekends and evenings.
