Commercial Finance FP&A Team sits under the Finance ops supporting the MX Commercial Finance Team and wider Sales/Controlling teams across many day-to-day operations including commercial planning, planning, and forecasting. Working across the CFM team and Sales to ensure our quarterly commercial planning process runs efficiently and effectively! In addition, support completing/uploading monthly forecast ensuring the simulated data is accurately reflected in the system.
Role and Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities:
Support the MX Commercial Finance Team and wider Sales/Controlling teams across many day-to-day operations including commercial planning, planning, and forecasting. Working across the CFM team and Sales to ensure our quarterly commercial planning process runs efficiently and effectively! Also support completing/uploading monthly forecast ensuring the simulated data is accurately reflected in the system.
MX Quarterly Commercial Planning
1. Responsible for updating and maintaining the commercial plan templates for all MX products (Smartphone, Tablet, Wearables, NPC).
2. Responsible for consolidating the commercial plans (20+ for Smartphone and more) so the consolidated plan, including revenue and weekly sell-out, can be presented to the business with short lead time.
3. Support MX Sales team when they have issues/queries with the plan templates.
4. Assist with FP&A manager to upgrade the planning templates to reflect various requirements from MX Sales and other relevant teams.
Financial Forecasting/Targeting/Planning
5. Conduct the upload process for forecast the simulated forecast/target data with very thigh schedule. This will require working long hour once a month.
6. Responsible for updating and maintaining the forecast templates for all MX products (Smartphone, Tablet, Wearables, NPC).
7. Support Yearly Management Planning process including prep work and upload.
8. Collaborate closely with Commercial Finance team to support them with forecasting and planning.
Financial Management & Control
9. Support FP&A manager to manage monthly reporting including financial performance and ad hoc reporting within SEUK and HQ deadlines.
10. Support to produce and consolidate data from finance/operation systems.
11. Be one of the team super users for NERP / systems.
Ad-hoc Support
12. Support ad-hoc financial analysis to deliver insights including financial/operational results within SEUK and HQ deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
13. Advance Excel skills (Power query, advanced formular) is required.
14. Experience of using ERP systems (preferably SAP) is required.
15. Ability to learn and absorb new knowledge/skills quickly.
16. Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
17. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment with a sense of urgency.
18. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, take quick and effective decisions.
19. Excellent analytical skills and ability to focus on detail.
20. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and work with others.
21. Ability to solve problems under pressure by navigating yourself to the most suitable solution.
