Job Title:
Interim Process Project Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Interim Process Project Engineer to lead the implementation of engineering projects within our global FMCG client Unilever.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare equipment schedules, cost schedules, and project documentation.
* Install, test, and commission plant equipment related to engineering projects.
* Conduct technical surveys and feasibility studies to inform project decisions.
* Create scope documents to ensure equipment design and installation meets standards.
* Collaborate with Process designers to ensure accurate plant and process design.
* Manage contractors safely through installation, reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
* Manage civil aspects of plant installation, including ground works for new vessel installations.
* Provide stakeholder updates for projects.
Requirements:
* Hygienic plant and process design expertise.
* Managed experience in designing and installing plant equipment, including tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, pipework, valve, and manifolds, CiP systems.
* Safe contractor management through installation.
* Ability to understand process P&ID's and plant flow layouts.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
* Chemical engineering background or relevant process project experience.
* Project management qualification or relevant experience.
* IOSH Managing Safety certification.
Working Environment:
The role is based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, with occasional weekend work and some UK-based travel required.
You will enjoy a competitive salary between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
