Our Water contractor client is seeking a Proposals Manager to join their Brighton based Southern Water joint venture framework on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure constructability input is received in a timely manner from the delivery partners.
2. Work with the regional construction lead to ensure suitable and sufficient resource is available and deployed to projects.
3. Manage project activities related to scope, schedule, finances, risks, quality, and resources within defined thresholds and tolerances. Escalate to Regional Project Managers where necessary.
4. Ensure that the approach to Health & Safety and Wellbeing procedures are sufficient in that high standards are satisfied as a minimum.
5. Engage with assigned stakeholders in accordance with overall communication Plan - design or construction - including permits, planning consents, street-works.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
1. Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
2. Experienced Project Manager / Senior Agent.
3. Strong leadership capability.
4. Experience of supervising multidisciplinary D&B projects including civils and MEICA.
5. Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.
6. Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
