Senior Software Engineer (Mobile Apps)

We are looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer with experience in Microsoft .NET MAUI or Xamarin. The role sits in Civica's central Mobile Development Team and you will be responsible for developing mobile solutions across Civica's portfolio of products.
The successful candidate should have at least three years development experience in a mobile development environment and will be involved in the day to day development of mobile solutions working in an Agile environment delivering and supporting apps.
The successful candidate will work into a Development Team including a Lead Developer to develop components and app screens using Microsoft .NET MAUI. Using cutting edge technologies you will be working with other senior members of the team in the ongoing development of the company products and building highly functional and visually stunning mobile applications across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Working in a team taking software requirements and turning these into working mobile app screens and components
* Support of mobile apps developed by Civica for a variety of clients
* Working on prototypes / R&D and proof of concepts using leading edge technologies and frameworks
* Mentor and coach more junior software engineers, supporting them on their journey to become world class engineers
Essential Competencies
* Knowledge of developing apps for both Android, iOS and UWP/WinUI3 (3+ years’ experience or more)
* .Net Maui / Xamarin experience
* Ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues
* Collaborate with fellow developers, designers and managers to build applications
* Strong C#/.Net Skills
* Experience using Azure and / or AWS
* Knowledge of Visual Studio and/or JetBrains Rider
* Creative problem solver and analytical approach
* Good communication skills
* Strong academic background
* Experience in at least one Agile Methodology (preferably Scrum).
* Intellectually strong with an excellent academic record.
* Excellent team working with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
* Innovative, flexible self-starter with excellent analytical skills.
* Proactive personality and able to work autonomously.
* Good team player with a collaborative approach to working.
* Experience of mentoring more junior developers and directing/organizing the work of teams.
* Good understanding of the challenges of enterprise software development.
