Overview Due to the continued expansion of our private psychology services, we are excited to be able to recruit a typist for our clinical documents with the opportunity to add additional administration duties as appropriate. The position is advertised as 16 hours a week, based at our practice in Worton Park, Witney, Oxfordshire. Hours and exact days are negotiable with the possibility of increased hours following a successful probationary period. The Family Practice Group is a private multi-disciplinary psychology practice who recently relocated to Worton Park. We provide a range of psychological assessments with the primary focus being Autism Spectrum Diagnostic assessments. We have a team of both administrative and clinical staff, and the advertised role is to directly support our Assistant Psychologist. Our clients come from all over the UK and as such we require a dynamic and adaptable typist with strong administrative skills who has an excellent command of the English language both verbally and in written format. You will be a highly motivated, hardworking and organised individual with outstanding communication skills. You will also be able to convey information regarding our services to potential clients and speak confidently to existing clients about their cases as required. Using initiative is essential and being able to prioritise work is a necessity. This role would particularly suit a psychology undergraduate student or a person with an interest in the medical and healthcare industry. Likewise, an experienced proof-reader or someone with experience of typing clinical documents would be advantageous. Full training will be provided, and an immediate start is possible. Key Responsibilities To provide support to the Assistant Psychologist. This will predominantly relate to typing of clinical documents combined with some administrative duties. Some additional responsibilities may be required such as answering the telephone, taking notes, inputting data and supporting clients who visit. Logging incoming client assessment packs and scanning to our digital case management system. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE The following are required: 5 GCSE’s grade C or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent NVQ or experience High level of competency with English Gramma Flexibility Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data Understanding of data protection Be computer literate Impeccable organisational skills Excellent interpersonal skills Reliable and trustworthy Ability to prioritise, multi-task and co-ordinate workloads and work under pressure to meet deadlines Time management skills Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative High level of commitment and positive "can do" attitude Maintain and promote the highest standards The total weekly hours will be 16 but may be negotiated for the right candidate. Following a successful probabtion period of 3 months the role may be considered for work from home but is not assurred. £12 to £14 per hour depending on experience
