Randstad are working alongside a major name in construction and civil engineering to recruit for a Building Services Manager on a permanent basis in the North West who are currently working on a project in Barrow in Furness.
The Building Services Manager will be responsible for the following:
1. Making sure client requirements are met and proposals reflect their needs and the contract.
2. Ensuring all Building services needs are met, reflected in the building and fabric with information delivered in good time and managing the Design, Drawings and approvals process.
3. Ensuring projects comply with building regulations, planning conditions, specifications and any 3rd party accreditations.
4. Supporting Planning teams to ensure building services are fully integrated into the delivery programme and execution plans.
5. Monitoring progress against targets and assisting the project management team to ensure specialist contractors resource and approach the project as needed.
6. Supporting the quantity surveying and commercial teams with review of changes to contracts and valuations of the work.
7. Managing the commissioning process and training to ensure all systems operate as designed, validation teams are satisfied, and building users are trained in operation.
8. Attending client progress and technical meetings.
9. Chairing specialist design, progress, and commissioning meetings.
The successful Building Services Manager will ideally have the following skills and experience:
1. Experience managing design, delivery, and commissioning of Building services in a construction environment.
2. Technical qualification in a mechanical or electrical trade within a consultancy, main contractor, or subcontractor management background.
3. BTEC in Building Services Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Engineering, or Electrical or Mechanical Building Services to HNC/HND level or a degree in Building Services Engineering.
