Role Overview:
Venn Group have been approached exclusively to support with recruitment at Chesterfield Royal hospital, we are seeking a highly motivated Estates Officer (Mechanical) to join our team. You will be responsible for managing mechanical systems such as water, ventilation, medical gas, and boiler house management, ensuring statutory compliance and safety. This role also includes managing contractors, providing technical support for capital projects, and maintaining records through systems like MICAD and Zetasafe. Occasional travel to offsite locations and participation in an on-call rota is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage safe systems of work across multiple mechanical disciplines
* Act as an Authorised Person (AP) for key mechanical systems
* Support capital projects by providing technical expertise
* Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with HTM regulations
* Conduct audits, prepare governance reports, and ensure up-to-date asset management
Qualifications and Experience:
* HND in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in estates management, preferably within the NHS or a similar setting
* Strong technical knowledge and experience as an Authorised Person in mechanical disciplines
