About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Planning Consultant in the UK & Northern Ireland to join our team and provide expert support to our clients. As we continue to grow and expand our impact, we are strengthening our support for both existing and new clients across the UK, Ireland, and EMEA in the Environmental and Planning sector. This new role has been created to meet the increasing demand for expert guidance in large-scale infrastructure planning, ensuring projects align with environmental regulations and sustainable best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support large-scale infrastructure planning projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability best practices.
* Provide expert guidance on UK planning permissions, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies across the UK, Ireland, and EMEA.
* Conduct environmental risk assessments, feasibility studies, and mitigation strategies for infrastructure developments.
* Develop and review environmental reports, policy documents, and planning applications.
* Support the delivery of environmental planning strategies to help clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
* Stay updated with UK, Irish, and European environmental laws and policies, ensuring all projects meet legal requirements.
* Assist in stakeholder engagement and public consultations, providing expert input where necessary.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, sustainability specialists, and project managers.
Key Qualifications:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in the area of planning and environmental management/consultancy.
* Experience in gaining planning permissions for large-scale infrastructure projects in the UK.
* Understanding of planning legislation and processes across the UK.
* Understanding of EMEA environmental policies and international best practices.
* Experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs), and sustainability planning.
* Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.
* Ability to work remotely while managing multiple projects.
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
* Experience in Ireland or mainland Europe especially in Data Centre or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
