We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our business and be instrumental in our future growth.
THE ROLE:
The role within the Company supports our defence and aerospace contracts and helps drive new product introduction and maintains the QMS.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Monitor, maintain, & make continuous improvements to the QMS.
* Devise quality control documentation i.e., APQP, inspection plans and inspection sign-off documentation.
* Product Inspection & quality sign off.
* Authorise the release of product to the customer.
* Auditing of the QMS & associated processes.
* Control of calibration system.
* Quality sign off for Manufacturing packs.
* Undertaking of FAIR’s to AS9102.
* Monitor and gather process data for reporting.
* Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements, feeding the info back into the QMS for continuous improvement.
* Daily / weekly / monthly quality reporting upwards & downwards.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
* Working to AS9100.
* Excellent understanding of Engineering drawings.
* Excellent understanding of GD&T.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Good understanding of root cause and corrective actions process and tools.
* Positive and professional attitude with the ability to work well independently.
* Proactive with the ability to identify process improvement and implement any changes.
DESIRABLE:
* PolyWorks experience.
* Previous experience in an Engineering role.
* Experience with MSA and Gauge R&R.
* Lean and 5S experience.
* 5+ years in a Quality Engineer position or similar.
* An understanding of composites.
* CQI Qualification.
* Report writing including CMM report analysis.
SALARY:
Up to £45,000 depending on skills & experience.
