Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking individuals with enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment to join our pharmacy division as Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians.
This role includes rotations at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, and North Manchester General Hospital.
In addition to our traditional posts, we are collaborating with GM Primary care to offer work placements in a primary care setting.

Qualifications:Minimum of 4 GCSEs grades A-C/4-9, which must include Maths, English Language and TWO science subjects preferably Chemistry and Biology (dual or combined accepted).
Please note:If you do not possess a Science GCSE but have completed a Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services and have at least two years of pharmacy experience, you are still eligible to apply and if successful at interview you will need to undergo an additional science assessment to confirm your eligibility.
Ensure that all GCSE results are clearly documented on your application. If your qualifications were obtained overseas, please secure a NARIC certificatebeforethe interview to be reviewed.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Engage in medicines management duties at ward level, such as medicines reconciliation, assessing patients' own medications and ordering medications.
Provide a high-quality dispensing service for all patients within the Trust.
Students will virtually attend college on day release to achieve the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Technicians. This is a demanding role and will require study both in work and in your own time. The expectation is to dedicate at least 10 hours each week to facilitate the completion of your studies. You will receive full support from an Educational Supervisor and qualified pharmacy assessors to complete the qualification.
