Automotive Engine Performance Engineer
12 month contract – likely to be extended
Peterborough – Fully on site for the first few months, then can work hybrid a minimum of 3 days onsite.
Competitive Hourly Rate - Umbrella OR PAYE
This opportunity would suit an Engineering graduate, with a couple of years industry experience, who wants to continue their work in Engine Development.
Working for one of the world’s leading Engine Manufacturer’s you will create, implement and improves engineering designs, performance calibrations, processes & techniques to meet customer requirements and maximize product performance and quality.
As an Engine Performance Engineer you will have the chance to;
Whilst WFH is part of the role, you will also work onsite at a leading Global Test Development facility – you won’t be stuck behind a desk, this is a hands-on role!
Participate in the delivery of engine performance development and validation
Work towards achieving Engine efficiency via new technology including - automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software
Plan and improve engineering procedures
Collaborate to meet the requirements of the customer and dealer network.
Qualifications & Experience Required of the Performance Engineer:
Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
Experience of Engine (Diesel/ Petrol/ Hybrid/ Hydrogen) product testing approaches
Knowledge of established standard operating procedures
Any cameo or AVL software experience – advantageous
Experience of engine development - highly desirable.
