Senior Housekeeper
Location: Ty Maeth, RCN Wales HQ, Cardiff
Contract type: Permanent
7 hours per week
Salary range per annum: £25,629 – £28,068 pro rata*
There is more to the RCN than you might think. We’re a trade union with a membership of over half a million nurses, midwives, nursing support workers and students. We support their practice, represent them, lobby on their behalf, and develop them. We exist to make a positive difference – to the working lives of our members and ultimately to standards in patient care.
As our Senior Housekeeper, you’ll use your positive attitude, your knowledge of health and safety, and your customer service skills to deliver a seamless housekeeping and facility service to our staff and members.
In this varied role, every day will be filled with possibilities. You will get involved in everything from cleaning, seminar room setup and bookings, ordering catering and supplies to providing relief cover for reception. It's a great way to build on your skills and experience and develop your potential.
To join us, you will ideally have a background in housekeeping, experience of working in a customer service environment, and knowledge of health and safety principles in the workplace. You will also have experience of working within a team environment and be able to organise your work to deliver a quality service.
What we offer you:
We expect you to look after our staff, members, and visitors. We offer an impressive range of benefits, a broad range of learning development opportunities, and an award-winning health and wellbeing programme. We offer annual leave up to 32 days plus bank holidays and three additional days for the Christmas break, plus generous maternity, adoption, paternity, and shared parental leave packages.
