We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Director of Audit and Assurance Services to join ASW Assurance. You will have full membership of a professional accountancy body (Consultative Committee Accountancy Bodies), Internal Audit qualification (Institute of Internal Auditors), or other relevant professional qualification, as well as experience working in internal audit/counter fraud and managing and motivating staff.
ASW Assurance is an innovative, leading not for profit NHS Consortium, providing specialist internal audit, counter fraud and consultancy services to NHS organisations in the South West, as well as a wide range of other clients nationwide, dedicated to helping improve governance and ultimately the quality and safety of patient care.
This role requires passion, enthusiasm, highly developed communication skills, specialist expertise and knowledge and advanced IT skills. Most importantly, we want someone who is full of energy and enthusiasm and is not afraid to use their interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team.
You will be a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and will work with the Director of Audit and Assurance Services on the determination of the strategic direction of ASW Assurance, to deliver a professional service, fit for current and future needs.
You will be required to deal effectively with staff of all levels throughout ASW Assurance as well as our client organisations, whilst being accountable for your own actions. Using initiative and discretion to drive forward the delivery of service strategies on behalf of the Consortium Board, whilst establishing goals and standards to manage delivery in accordance with agreed policies.
