Job overview
An exciting Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking, motivated and energetic operational manager to join a vibrant and committed team within Specialist Medicine. This is for a 12-month period initially although this may be extended.
The post will cover Dermatology across UHDB and General Medicine at the Royal Derby Hospital. The successful candidate will lead on the overall operational, financial and strategic agenda for these areas.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising of operational managers, a matron and clinicians. The post holder will ensure that deadlines are met, services run effectively and the role will include people and budgetary management with a strong emphasis on further developing high quality services for the populations we serve.
You will bring excellent team working abilities and communication skills with the enthusiasm to continually develop both yourself and the service. You will have a successful track record of project management and service development in a complex environment with a proven ability to engage and lead teams through change. Your organisation skills will be outstanding and you will have previous experience of business management and data analysis.
The business unit offers an environment to work in that has enthusiastic, hard working and compassionate leadership team. The team comprises of operational managers and matrons supported by excellent finance, HR, IT and administrative teams.
The team strives to continuously improve services with patients and their carers being at the centre of this. The leadership team works hard but will provide a supportive and fun working environment to work in.
