We are holding a Volunteer event to showcase the following opportunities to volunteer within the NHS. We have a range of posts available in the Older People's inpatient wards. These include; supporting, supporting with activities and groups on and off the ward, which could include gardening, exercise and walking groups and lunch and breakfast groups. There is also an opportunity to volunteer into the carers group which is held every 2 weeks., At the event you will have chance to meet the team and understand volunteering within Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber (RDaSH). Light refreshments will be available on the day. There will also be the opportunity in the afternoon to begin the paperwork necessary to start volunteering with the Trust, so do bring ID with you.
Why volunteer?
People volunteer with us for many reasons. Most often as a way of giving something back to their community, knowing that they have helped patients, their carers and family when they are feeling at their most vulnerable.
All out of pocket expenses will be covered as an active volunteer including opportunities in training and development.
If you are unable to attend either of the events and are still interested in volunteering, you can emailrdash.volunteers@nhs.netand we can discuss what opportunities may be available for you.
