About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Assessment, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and Problem-Solving Expert to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our vehicle systems by conducting thorough risk assessments, FMEA analyses, and implementing effective problem-solving strategies.
What does this role involve day to day?
1. Conducting detailed FMEA analyses on vehicle systems and components to identify potential failure modes, their causes, and effects.
2. Performing comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate the severity, occurrence, and detection of potential failures.
3. Utilizing 8D problem-solving methodology to identify, analyze, and resolve system issues.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
5. Leading and facilitating FMEA workshops and meetings, ensuring active participation and contribution from all relevant stakeholders.
6. Documenting and maintaining FMEA reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
7. Providing technical guidance and support to engineering teams in the identification and resolution of system issues.
8. Continuously monitoring and reviewing FMEA processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
9. Staying updated with the latest advancements in FMEA methodologies, risk assessment techniques, and problem-solving strategies.
This will be suited to you if:
1. You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
2. You have proven experience in conducting FMEA analyses and risk assessments within the automotive industry.
3. You have strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
4. You have experience in 8D problem-solving methodology & experience in FMEA software tools and methodologies.
