About the role
The Boots Accident & Emergency team help support our stores in logging serious events, providing guidance and coordinating a range of activities to ensure safe trading/dispensing is restored both empathetically and sensitively.
The role is office based at our Nottingham Support Office within the D101 CCTV Monitoring Centre and part of Boots CARE; the team works closely with the Security Team, CCTV Monitoring Centre, Health & Safety, Properties, Logistics and other important Support Office teams.
Key responsibilities
* Understand the impacts of each Accident/Emergency situation through phone calls/emails, asking the right questions to gather information quickly and accurately and identify the most effective and appropriate resolution.
* Handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding to provide the best possible support to team members in stores.
* Collaboration with other departments to coordinate a range of activity. Stakeholders include Logistics, Properties, Security, and Health & Safety; escalating quickly with facts which guide appropriate action.
* A curious mind, who can ask why with a continuous improvement mentality to work with other departments to identify preventative measures to prevent repeat occurrence of the same situations in the same stores.
* Help gather information and schedule Incident Management calls to deal with serious incidents where there is no known date for which a store may reopen following a serious incident; and collate and distribute actions following the call to lead activity to reach an appropriate resolution.
What you’ll need to have
* A broad knowledge of Store operations.
* Strong communication skills, self-confidence, and emotional intelligence.
* A calm and considered approach when under pressure.
* The ability to prioritise workload based on the impacts of open incidents.
* The ability to ask great questions to understand impacts but also actively listen to the answers.
* A problem-solving mentality as no two incidents are the same.
