You’ll be managing the day to day activity of the procurement team to achieve the best value for customers from procurement activity, including creation of Social Value outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading on complex, innovative and high risk procurement projects including those for strategic and critical contracts.
* Overseeing the delivery of all procurement exercises in line with annual workflows, Great Places Procurement Procedures and the Procurement Act 2023.
* Overseeing the “day to day” operation of the procurement and purchasing administration teams.
* Engaging with key stakeholders to develop strategic approaches and work collaboratively to ensure value for money from Great Places supply chain.
* Working with stakeholders to ensure best value outcomes while ensuring legislative compliance, risk mitigation and the achievement of organisational goals.
* Completing reports and communication material regarding procurement activity and delivering presentations to key internal and external stakeholders.
* Actively supporting with contract management including reporting in line with requirements of the Procurement Act 2023.
What you’ll need
* CIPS qualification or relevant work based experience.
* Experience in planning, organising and delivering complex procurement exercises.
* Negotiating and influencing at Director level of an organisation.
* Development of tender documents, specifications and management of E-procurement systems.
* Experience of procurement in a public sector or similarly regulated environment.
