NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. This is a fulltime, permanent post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday (8am-4pm).
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Clyde Sector, providing administrative support with the production and maintenance of Junior Doctor Rotas and to act as a focal point for the provision of help and advice to all Junior Doctors, staff members and professionals in relation to service inquiries and rota management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the Weekly Rota and the administration of the FY1/Middle Tier, Senior Tier Rotas and Registrars. The post holder will be required to produce and maintain these rotas.
The role of the job is challenging, and a high degree of accuracy is required at all times. You will be required to:
1. Produce and maintain these rotas.
2. Assist with the planning of Junior Doctor Teaching Programme & Induction.
3. Communicate in a professional manner to all levels of staff through various formats.
4. Manage time effectively, planning and prioritising a broad range of tasks to meet competing demands within agreed timescales.
5. Use your own initiative and competency whilst exercising a high degree of confidentiality.
6. Be responsible for scheduling your own workload to ensure local systems and processes are maintained accurately.
7. Maintain full concentration when dealing with enquiries, whilst being subject to frequent interruptions.
8. Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
9. Be proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Real Time Rostering, Medical Staff Bank and Litmus.
10. Have an understanding of divisional policies and procedures.
