* Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the arboriculture or related industries.
* Ability and a passion to develop relationships.
* Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
* Great negotiation skills, in a human first approach.
* IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* A keen eye for detail and strong organisational abilities.
* A positive attitude and a drive to continuously improve processes.
* Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do:
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our business and a proactive part of the team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Identify opportunities to expand our client base.
* Generate and qualify leads through networking, referrals and proactive outreach.
* Collaborate with the wider Thompsons team to develop tailored solutions for clients.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
* Account management of key clients.
* Represent Thompsons at events and meetings.
* Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth handovers and interactions with clients.

What’s in it for you?
* Salary: £50k-£60k. A salary that recognises your character, ability and experience.
* Bonus: 1% Commission plus a bonus of £5k for every £1m in total company sales above our established sales baseline.
