Job Title: Finance Director – Artist Services WMX
A little bit about our team: WMX Finance manages the collection of data, financial reporting and operational analysis for the European Artist Services Businesses. This includes various pillars including eCommerce, Tour, Retail, Licensing and VIP businesses.
Your role: Reporting to the VP – WMX, this position is a key member of the WMX Finance Team. This role will work closely with the business leads responsible for the management of the portfolio of businesses under the artist services umbrella.
Here you’ll get to:
* Oversee finance team of 2
* Lead the monthly close process for the various WMX businesses
* Prepare P&L and cashflow forecasts and budgets for the WMX businesses
* Appraisal of budgets, forecasts and actuals including variance analysis and management commentary
* Analytical review of financial and operational reports to present to senior management.
* Implementation of technical accounting policies
* Lead the VAT returns and submissions process for all areas of WMX businesses, advise on VAT compliance for cross border transactions
* Support Finance Transformation process. Problem solving implementation queries and managing the testing of new system inputs/outputs.
* Support WMX business leads to ensure deadlines and objectives are achieved.
* Detailed financial analysis supporting commercial team decision.
* Ownership of ongoing process improvement projects
* Implementing and maintaining SOX controls
* Leading the year end audit
* Ad hoc reporting and analysis
* Review of Artist Statement data
* Artist deal analysis to present to senior leaders
About you:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* Previous experience in a similar role with extensive experience in Finance
* Previous experience managing a finance team
* Technical accounting background
* Audit experience (internal or external)
* Strong analytical skills and ability to work through problems logically.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Advanced Excel skills
* Strong with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Driven and flexible approach to work
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Good team player
