Role Purpose: As a senior lead, Manager, Resilience and Continuity will be responsible for shaping, executing, and continuously enhancing the Bank's Operational Resilience strategy and framework. This role ensures alignment with SMF24, Board expectations, and regulatory obligations, reinforcing the Bank's ability to withstand and recover from operational disruptions. Working closely with key stakeholders across the business, the role will drive the development of robust Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies, ensuring that Chetwood can identify, prevent, respond to, and recover from severe yet plausible disruption scenarios. Through proactive management, this position will embed a resilience-first culture, safeguarding critical business functions and maintaining regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Operational Resilience Leadership – Define, implement, and enhance the Bank's Operational Resilience Framework, ensuring alignment with SMF24, Board expectations, and regulatory obligations. Impact Tolerance & Business Service Mapping – Identify and assess important business services, establish impact tolerances, and ensure senior stakeholder alignment. Resilience Risk Oversight – Monitor potential impact tolerance breaches, oversee major incident management, and track resilience vulnerabilities and threats. Governance & Reporting – Lead self-assessments, benchmarking, and regulatory engagement, presenting resilience insights at Board and governance forums. Communications & Awareness – Develop and implement a communications strategy to ensure internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders understand and engage with resilience initiatives. Business Continuity Leadership – Define and implement the Bank's Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Framework, ensuring alignment with ISO 22301 and the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Good Practice Guidelines. Continuity Planning & Assessments – Oversee business impact assessments, ensure interdependency mapping (people, process, technology, suppliers, data, premises), and develop continuity plans. Scenario Testing & Training – Design and execute business continuity scenario tests, including war games, tabletop exercises, and live simulations, while driving awareness programs. Disaster Recovery Disaster Recovery Strategy – Lead and refine disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring resilience across critical business functions and technology infrastructure. Third-Party & Exit Risk Management – Collaborate with key stakeholders and third-party owners to oversee exit strategies and resilience testing, ensuring protection against supplier-related disruptions. Crisis & Incident Management – Establish and execute crisis response protocols, ensuring the firm can effectively recover from severe disruptions. Skills & Experience: Expert knowledge of Operational Resilience regulations, including FCA and PRA requirements, ensuring compliance and best practices. Proven leadership in developing, managing, and enhancing Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery frameworks within financial services, preferably in a fintech or digital banking environment. Strong understanding in third-party risk management, including due diligence, resilience assessments, and exit planning. Track record of designing, implementing, and testing comprehensive resilience strategies, business continuity plans, and disaster recovery frameworks. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, regulators, and external partners. Experience in crisis and incident management, including leading response efforts and scenario testing exercises (e.g., war games, tabletop simulations). Ability to develop and deliver training programs, fostering a resilience-first culture across the business. Professional certification in Business Continuity Management (e.g., CBCI, MBCI) or related discipline is advantageous.
