Job Purpose:
This role involves establishing relationships with customers to achieve targets such as net sales, margin, and profit by building and implementing business plans. It requires a clear understanding of retailer strategies, shopper behaviors, and how Colgate-Palmolive can optimize their brands and strategic goals. Internal collaborators include Shopper Development Managers and Category Managers.
What you will do:
* Deliver quarterly and annual net sales, margin, and profit targets through active leadership of a Joint Business Plan (JBP) based on tailored commercial plans.
* Analyze the business to identify issues and opportunities for resolution or optimization.
* Understand retailer strategies and shopper insights to optimize brand positioning within this environment.
* Collaborate with the Shopper Development Manager to develop a shopper-focused, high-performing plan integrated into the JBP.
* Partner with your Category Manager to identify category growth opportunities and optimize strategies for Colgate-Palmolive.
* Manage collaborative planning with customers, including accurate forecasting and risk management.
* Ensure customer ledger accuracy, manage financial accruals and rebates in coordination with AR and Finance teams.
* Develop and communicate a 3-year retailer strategy.
* Work with retail marketing and brand managers to develop business solutions that drive growth.
* Build external networks to enhance customer engagement and identify new business opportunities.
* Establish internal networks to support retailer initiatives and raise business profile.
* Collaborate within the Customer Development Team to craft team strategies and optimize performance.
* Lead business development projects to influence the broader business environment.
