Job Description:
The Role
NHS Lanarkshire are looking to recruit a Clinical Support Worker based within University Hospital Hairmyres.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Support Worker will carry out care duties for patients, in support of a registered nurse, will regularly work unsupervised and will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.
Please note: Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.
What we'll need you to bring
1. SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
2. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
5. Ability to work unsupervised.
6. To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.
7. Working knowledge of basic information technology.
Contract type
Permanent, Part Time, 29.6 hours
Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Cardiac Cath Labs within University Hospital Hairmyres. The working pattern for this role will include Days / Nights.
