Description This position is available on an initial 6 month fixed term contract which has the potential to be made permanent should a secondment be made permanent elsewhere in the business and dependent on performance. How will you contribute? Applying people policies and processes, ensuring the integrity of local people practices within the site/contract Develop effective relationships at all levels to establish yourself as a valued member of the people team in which managers look to for advice Supporting the site engagement – acting as a champion for the sites and promoting the annual surveys, participation and communication of outcomes Support and lead communications for the site Supporting the People Manager with tasks related to performance reviews and company initiatives First line query resolution of HR and pay queries, including queries relating to annualised hours Support with site absence management including the active management of welfare meetings and occupational health referrals Managing employee files and completing filing tasks Ensuring that corporate updates and information is displayed on site noticeboards and Management Team updated accordingly Acting as a company representative and note taker, supporting meetings including issuing letters in disciplinary, grievance and flexible working meetings in accordance with company procedure Providing support for recruitment activities including the production of job adverts, sifting CVs, arranging interviews and monitoring of recruitment response – working proactively with the relevant line manager to ensure effective time to hire and candidate fit Supporting with the new starter, onboarding and life cycle experience Inputting of People metrics, including providing data on recruitment, starters, leavers, transfers and sickness for KPI reporting Any other responsibilities deemed reasonable What will you bring? Must have worked in HR Administration/Assistant or similar roles previously Working knowledge of employment law Payroll experience to support with basic queries Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships quickly. Ability to use in house IT Systems in accordance with training provided. Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint CIPD Level 3 qualified desirable What do we offer?
