The Website Designer role at AccessPay is a newly created role that will be pivotal in continuing to drive the success of the company’s website. You may have previously held job titles such as content manager or website manager. The role will be responsible for managing and optimising our conversion rates and content management system (CMS) to ensure a seamless, effective and timely content delivery that drives growth and enhances the users’ digital experience; executing and delivering a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment.
Working alongside the wider marketing team, this role will report to the Head of Growth Marketing and will collaborate closely with the Content function to ensure alignment with wider website initiatives, marketing strategy, KPIs and overall business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding on best UX practices, website optimisation strategies and will be proficient in all-things Wordpress, CSS, HTML and SEO.
Responsibilities
* Drive and execute continuous website improvements that enhance user experience, ensuring prospects and customers can find the right information quickly and convert.
* Support, enhance and execute the optimisation and website strategy as developed by the Head of Growth Marketing.
* Lead project management for website optimisation and improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with wider digital and growth initiatives.
* Liaise and work with external agencies and the content team to ensure that the CMS supports the wider content goals; continually optimising the site for SEO, GEO, user experience, and optimal engagement.
* Ensure all pages and content are published accurately and on time, utilising best formatting, styling and branding practices while ensuring that the look and feel, as well as the tone of voice of the website is consistent with our brand guidelines.
* Conduct regular reviews, complete technical audits, identify improvement opportunities and implement fixes to continually improve the website’s technical performance.
* Continuously track and analyse web traffic, visitor behaviour, and traffic sources, and use data and analytics tools to deliver user and web insights, reporting on the website's impact on engagement metrics and overall performance to the wider marketing team.
* Collaborate with the Internal IT and GRC team to ensure seamless and secure website hosting process.
* Collaborate with the Internal IT lead to review, pilot, test and implement new plugins, tools or technologies.
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in CMS management, specifically in Wordpress.
* Strong technical understanding of SEO best practices, web analytics and CMS-related performance tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights, Google Analytics (GA4), SEMrush, etc.
* Strong knowledge of CSS and HTML (JavaScript knowledge is beneficial but not essential).
* Understanding of user behaviour and web traffic analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Clarity, HotJar, etc.
* Ability to utilise CMS Performance Optimisation methodologies to achieve strategic improvements.
* Knowledge and experience with wireframing tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Miro etc. would be advantageous.
