Are you a skilled Business Development professional with experience within the medical and healthcare industry? Join us at Sevenoaks Medical Centre, where you’ll play a crucial role in accelerating growth and expanding services for KIMS Hospital.
As a Business Development Officer, you’ll drive revenue growth within our Sevenoaks Medical Centre by collaborating with consultants, management, and primary care providers. You’ll work with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals—from nurses to radiographers—providing a wide range of outpatient and diagnostic services in specialties such as orthopaedics, dermatology, urology, and more.
Main duties of the job
1. Cultivate effective partnerships and relationships with consultants and their Medical Secretaries, understanding the best utilisation of their time, maximising capacity and efficiencies to maximize service capacity, efficiency, and patient care.
2. Being involved in new consultant inductions and understanding the onward referral pathway processes to KIMS Hospital.
3. Analyse financial and activity data to identify trends and drive business opportunities. Lead specialty specific projects to developing new services, whilst working with local businesses, raising awareness of services available at Sevenoaks Medical Centre and the wider KIMS Hospital / Lyca Health network.
4. Build on local healthcare knowledge to promote the integrated proposition between the Sevenoaks Medical Centre and the wider KIMS Hospital /Lyca network.
5. Identify partnership opportunities to deliver seamless referral pathways with other local primary care providers.
6. Expand NHS relationships to enhance service offerings available at Sevenoaks Medical Centre.

Person Specification:
24. Proven experience working with consultants, GPs, medical secretaries, and healthcare professionals in a private hospital setting.
25. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare specialties, and private healthcare practices.
26. Data-driven mindset with the ability to identify trends and insights.
27. Excellent relationship-building skills, adaptable communication style, and a calm approach during challenges.
28. Ability to adapt communication style and demonstrate constructive and calm approach
29. Ability to prioritise and manage own workload amid conflicting demands and busy work periods.
