Are you passionate about food safety, quality, and sustainability? We are recruiting for a Customer Facing Technical Manager to provide dedicated technical service to both internal and external customers, ensuring product quality and compliance with customer standards. You will play a key role in managing relationships with Tesco and Coop, while supporting the business with technical innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer technical development to drive growth and competitive advantage.
Ensure product safety, legality, and quality to protect the business and customer requirements.
Lead innovation, quality improvement projects, and new product development (NPD).
Be the main point of contact for customer teams, hosting visits.
Maintain accurate customer specifications and communicate technical policies to internal teams and suppliers.
Support the technical agenda in line with business objectives.
Use data to monitor performance and ensure business is meeting 'fit to supply' standards.
Optimise systems and processes to create a more efficient, cost-effective business.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in managing product quality, food safety, and compliance.
Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in produce or prepared produce.
Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Formal qualification in food science or agronomy preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
