Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and creative Wedding Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable events and possess strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. As a Wedding Coordinator, you will work closely with clients to understand their vision, coordinate logistics, and ensure that every detail is executed flawlessly. Your role will involve liaising with various vendors and suppliers, making this position perfect for someone with a background in hospitality or guest services. A very rare opportunity to have a role created around you with a choice of part time/full time and flexibility in the weekdays worked (Saturdays required). Suitable for a competent wedding professional or someone new to the industry but a passion for weddings is a must.
Duties
* Consult with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and plan for their wedding.
* Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and spreadsheets to ensure smooth execution.
* Coordinate all aspects of the wedding day including setup, ceremony, and reception through to the first dance.
* Manage contracts and play an active role in looking for new and creative uses of the wedding barns.
* Communicate effectively with clients and vendors throughout the planning process.
* Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise on the wedding day with professionalism.
* Maintain an organised database of contacts and resources for future events.
* Support with the social media side of the business.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in hotel management, hospitality, or event planning is preferred.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and vendors professionally.
* A background in guest services or restaurant management is advantageous.
* Proven organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of planning.
* Ability to upsell services and products when appropriate to enhance client experience.
* Flexibility to work weekends as required for weddings.
* A creative mindset with a passion for designing unique wedding experiences.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: £28,080.00-£35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 22 – 40 per week
