Job summary Internal only Cardiology CNS Experience Required Cardiology Nurse Specialist, Full or Part time working An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 role within our established Cardiac Support Team. We are looking for a candidate with specialist cardiology knowledge to fulfill this role, which will require working across all areas of cardiac support. Independent clinical working is essential to the role and ideally the applicant will have non-medical prescribing.The band 7 role must possess this advanced qualification, however, consideration would be given to a suitable candidate without this qualification, to fit a band 6 role. There is potential for future development, and that a substantive permanent role may become available whereby there may be opportunity to undertake the non-medical prescribing qualification. The candidate must be willing to work flexibly within week day working as there will be expectation to be involved in the cardiac rehabilitation evening exercise classes to cover annual leave, along with home working while delivering phone follow up clinics when established in the role. Much of the post is hospital based and therefore ideally the potential candidate will be able to travel to spoke areas to deliver heart function clinics. Main duties of the job To autonomously provide the delivery of comprehensive Cardiology follow up services including the assessing, evaluating and planning and prescribing care to patients with complex cardiac needs.
